Join one of the RYA courses as crew and learn without having the pressure of being under assessment. These opportunities are a low-cost way to build experience and put some miles in your log book in preparation for taking your own future steps on the RYA training ladder.
Although you won’t be formally instructed as you would have on a full course you will learn a great deal from just watching others being taught and having the time to sit back and get a better understanding of what is going on.

Course duration: | 1 days to 5 days depending on course chosen. |
Minimum age: | 16. Under 18 year old will only be accepted if accompanied by a responsible adult. |
What’s Included: | Mooring fees, accommodation on-board, water, soft drinks, snacks and all meals onboard from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day. If staying for an evening meal when the schedule is to dine at one of the RHKYC restaurants you will be charged at the cost price for your meal and drinks, payable by cash to the instructor. |

Award: | Certified logbook entry of miles and experience gained. |

Students require to bring the following (see FAQs for more detials):
- Lightweight sleeping bag or equivalent and pillow.
- Clothes suitable for up to 5 days sailing.
- Kit backed into a soft bag (no hard suitcase).
- Photo ID.
- Weather proof clothing suitable for the time of year.
- Footwear such as deck shoes or trainers with good grip.
No formal content but you will have the opportunity to discuss learning points with the instructor.
